Inauguration: President Risa E. Dickson, PhD

The University of La Verne will celebrate the inauguration of Risa Dickson, PhD, as its 21st president on Thursday, November 19, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Members of the ULV campus and community are invited to commemorate this historic milestone during the University’s 135th anniversary year.

President Dickson has served as the University’s president since January 2024. Bringing nearly three decades of higher education leadership experience, she is committed to strengthening academic excellence, expanding opportunity, and fostering a collaborative culture that supports student success and prepares graduates to make meaningful contributions in their professions and communities.

The inauguration ceremony and accompanying events will honor the University’s legacy while celebrating the people, purpose, and values that will shape its future.
