Matthew Goodman is the New York Times-bestselling author of five nonfiction books, including Paris Undercover (2025), The City Game (2019), and Eighty Days (2013). His work has received the New York City Book Award, been a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award and the American Library in Paris Book Award, and has been translated into eight languages. His writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The American Scholar, and Bon Appetit, and he has been featured on NPR, BBC, and CBC.
